Shipments that don’t need a full 48- or 53-foot trailer are referred to as LTL (Less Than Truckload). These services are provided by specialist carriers, which may include vans, flatbeds, or other specialty trucks based on your needs. Weight, size, tailgate, interior delivery, residential delivery, and the distance of the shipment all affect pricing.
A shipment classified as FTL (full truckload) will fill a 48- or 53-foot trailer. Depending on the type of products being delivered, 48’/53′ vans, straight trucks, or specialist equipment may be needed for FTL shipments.
